Privacy Policy

When you use the Mobile Application, our servers automatically record information that your device sends. This data may include information such as your device’s IP address, approximate location, device name and version, operating system type and version, language preferences, access times and dates, and other diagnostic statistics. We use this information to identify potential cases of abuse, debug issues, and maintain reliable operation of the Services.

To create an account and use Golf Glory, you provide certain information directly. The table below lists every category of Personal Information we collect, why we collect it, and whether it is required.

We use the Personal Information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Provide core features including scorecards, matches, leaderboards, chat, friends, and course discovery.
• Send transactional emails (verification codes, password reset).
• Deliver push notifications you have opted in to (match invites, score updates, friend requests).
• Improve and debug the app.
• Investigate and respond to abuse reports and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not use it to send promotional or marketing emails unrelated to your use of the Service.

To deliver the Service, we share limited Personal Information with carefully selected service providers. Each provider is contractually bound to handle your information only as needed to perform their designated function.

• Convex — backend database and authentication (stores your account data, scorecards, matches, chat messages, and friend list).
• Resend — sends transactional emails such as verification codes and password resets.
• Google AdMob — serves banner ads in the app and may collect a device advertising identifier per its own privacy policy. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings.
• Google Maps — renders course maps and resolves location queries.
• Apple (APNs) and Google (FCM) — deliver push notifications you have opted in to.

Golf Glory is free to download and use. The app is supported by banner ads served by Google AdMob. We do not currently sell digital goods or subscriptions through the app and we do not collect payment information from you.

Golf Glory is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not register or submit any Personal Information to the Service. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us at support@golfglory.app and we will promptly delete the information and terminate the account.

You can update most Personal Information directly within the app (Profile → Edit). To permanently delete your account and the associated data:

• In-app: Settings → Delete Account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm.
• Web: visit golfglory.app/account-deletion for instructions.

When you delete your account we delete or anonymize your profile, scorecards, chat messages, friend connections, push tokens, and other identifying information. Limited records may be retained where required by law (for example, audit logs or moderation records) and will be anonymized so they no longer identify you.

We retain your Personal Information for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, residual non-identifying or legally-required records may be retained for a reasonable period and then deleted or anonymized.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (including the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act) to:

• Request a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your Personal Information.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Personal Information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmitted between the Service and your device is encrypted in transit using TLS. Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

If we become aware that the security of the Service has been compromised or your Personal Information disclosed to unrelated third parties, we will take reasonably appropriate measures including investigating the incident, notifying affected users where there is a reasonable risk of harm, and cooperating with law enforcement.

The Service may contain links to other websites or apps that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those resources. We encourage you to read each resource’s privacy policy before submitting any information to it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
